Orit and Yaniv -
Nice to Meet You!
We are Orit Lefler and Yaniv Bocian, good friends who have known each other for many years and partners in this endeavor.
We are both great believers in social change through nature and agriculture – and the farm is our shared vision to fulfill this belief.
Yaniv Bocian - 31 years old, living in Pardes Hanna with my wife. Together we traveled and visited many farms around the world, which was for me a great source of knowledge and inspiration. I studied permaculture and worked in farming. I am a tour guide for educational frameworks and for many years have been involved in informal education and working with youth.
Orit Lefler - 31 years old from Moshav Kfar Haim. I am a horticultural therapist, which is psychological therapy through gardening, and I believe agriculture can have a broad therapeutic value. I work with children, youth and special needs populations. I also studied landscape architecture and have worked in various informal educational frameworks, as well as in agricultural work.
The young people who work at the farm have reinvented themselves here.
For them, the farm is a meaningful setting where they can be a useful and positive part of society.
After leaving their formal frameworks they chose to come to work the land, learn about the world of agriculture, and create local produce for residents of Pardes Hannah and vicinity.
Our young men and women get up at 6:00 AM, in all kinds of weather, and go out to the fields to sow, plant, clean and harvest for you our fresh, high-quality and ecological vegetables.
We believe in the power of agriculture to change society, so we have created a special space for them that combines occupation and work with meaning and a sense of belonging.
These youths come to work at the farm three times a week. During the course of the workday they learn values such as dependability, independence, work ethic, cooperation, social involvement and mutual responsibility, while also earning a dignified living.
